Scott Daniels (born September 19, 1969 in Mistawasis , Saskatchewan ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who has played for the Hartford Whalers , Philadelphia Flyers and New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League , among others .

Career

In the 1989 NHL Entry Draft , Daniels was selected in the seventh round as the 136th player by the Hartford Whalers . With the Whalers he was used in his preferred role as an enforcer . From 1990 to 1995, however, he played predominantly with the Springfield Indians in the American Hockey League . There he scored at least 20 points scorer in three seasons in a row.

In the 1995/96 season Daniels managed the breakthrough with the Whalers when he ran up in 53 NHL games and spent 254 minutes in the penalty box. On June 27, 1996, he signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers as a free agent . After a season as a regular with the Flyers, he was committed in September 1997 at the NHL Waiver Draft by the New Jersey Devils . With the Devils he came in the 1997/98 season to 27 games, but in the following season he played only one game in the NHL and ended the 1998/99 season with the Albany River Rats in the AHL, before joining ended his career this season.
