Scott Richard Donie (born October 10, 1968 in Vicenza , Italy ) is a retired American diver . He took part in two Olympic Games and won a medal.

Donie first took part in the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992 . From the 10-meter board, he won the silver medal behind Sun Shuwei . The following year he had a nervous breakdown at a national competition while preparing for a jump on the diving board. He broke off the jump and took a six-month break. After his return, he no longer jumped from the 10 m tower, but only started jumping. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta this time he took part from the 3-meter board, but narrowly missed a medal in fourth.

Donie graduated from Southern Methodist University . He won a total of three titles at college championships between 1989 and 1990. Today he works as a diving coach at New York University .
