Scott A. Mosier (born March 5, 1971 ) is an American producer , film editor and director.

In 1992, while studying at the Vancouver Film School in Canada , Mosier met Kevin Smith , with whom he directed a film called Mea Day: The Crumbling of a Documentary . In 1993 they both graduated and founded the joint company View Askew and planned to make a real film: It was financed with only 27,000 US dollars , but it brought back 130 times that amount : Clerks , in which Mosier was co- Contributed producer and film editor.

Then the two shot the film Mallrats , in which he again worked as a producer. However, the six million dollar film only grossed two million and was a flop. The subsequent film, Chasing Amy , was reasonably successful at a cost of a quarter of a million. This was followed by Dogma , which was intended as the last part of the New Jersey films , but which then with Jay and Silent Bob strike back and the sequel to Clerks, Clerks II , was still continued.

Mosier makes a cameo in almost every Kevin Smith film . In Clerks , for example, he plays the young man who is informed about smoking by the chewing gum agent.

With The Grinch from 2018, Mosier directed his first feature-length film.

Mosier has a weekly podcast with Kevin Smith .
