biography

Scott Mitchell Putesky began as a child to teach himself to play guitar and keyboard , some of which were self-taught . Before founding Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids in 1991, he played with the Flying Eggbeaters, Blue China, Ear Wacks, The Hodads and Kinetic Ritual.

Putesky founded the band Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids in 1991 together with Brian Hugh Warner (Marilyn Manson) under the pseudonym Daisy Berkowitz, which is composed of the name of the fictional female character Daisy Duke and the serial killer David Berkowitz . In 1992 the band changed their name to Marilyn Manson. Putesky was involved in the production of the band's first two albums, but left the band shortly before the release of Antichrist Superstar in 1996 due to personal and musical differences with Warner and producer Trent Reznor . In 1999 he successfully sued Brian Warner for the song rights to 21 songs by Marilyn Manson & the Spooky Kids, and in 2003 he lost a lawsuit against artwork and video material aimed at by Warner.

After the separation, he changed his name back to Scott Mitchell Putesky and started a music project called "Three Ton Gate". In mid-April 1998 Putesky joined the band Jack Off Jill , which previously played as the opening act for Marilyn Manson. He left the band, however, and performed again with the band Three Ton Gate, with whom he released the album Lose Your Mind in 2003 on his own label. He has also worked with The Linda Blairs, Godhead and Rednecks on Drugs and has played with the electro-punk band Kill Miss Pretty since 2010. According to his own information, he was also working on new material for The Spooky Kids.

In November 2013 it was announced that Putesky had developed colon cancer , of which he died in October 2017 at the age of 49.
