Séan Joseph McClory (born March 8, 1924 in Dublin , Ireland , † December 10, 2003 in Hollywood Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was an Irish actor .

Life

Séan Joseph McClory was born in Dublin and grew up in Galway . He was the son of Hugh Patrick, an architect and civil engineer, and Mary Margaret Ball. He began his acting career at the Abbey Theater and remained mainly on stage until 1947. After he emigrated to the USA in 1947, he was also seen sporadically in smaller film roles. With the beginning of television, he was in addition to film appearances in The Pirate Queen and The King's Thief also in television series such as The Bounty Hunter and The Californians . Until the 1980s he was regularly employed and played in over 130 film and television productions.

McClory died of a heart attack on December 10, 2003 at the age of 79 . He was married to actress Peggy Webber from March 17, 1983 until his death .
