Sebald Weinschröter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sebald Weinschröter (* 1318 or 1328 ; † 1363 or 1370 ) was a Nuremberg court painter to Emperor Charles IV.

In the Free Imperial City of Nuremberg, court artists like him can be identified as representatives of the court in Prague. Little can be traced about the life and work of Sebald Weinschröter, possibly he was the painter of the Jacob's Altar in Nuremberg.
