Sebastián Cal , full name Bartolo Sebastián Cal Farías , (born April 29, 1997 in Rocha ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.64 meter tall midfielder Cal began playing football in baby fútbol near Lavalleja de Rocha. He joined Peñarol at the age of 12. In 2010 he moved to San Carlos to the Club Atlético Atenas . There he first went through the teams of the Séptima and Sexta División and finally played in the club's U-16s. Coach Pablo Dorelo and sporting director Diego Pereira ordered Cal to join the first team together with Matías Barilko . At the time, Cal was commuting between his parents' home Rocha and San Carlos almost every day to take part in training. He made his competitive debut in the Segunda División on November 16, 2013 in the match against Central Español , when he came on in the 60th minute for Maximiliano Sigales . He scored the first mandatory league goal on May 3, 2014 in a 7-4 win over Villa Teresa . Cal played a total of nine games in the Segunda División for Club Atlético Atenas in the 2013/14 season and scored one goal. At the end of the season, his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league. In June and July 2014, he completed the pre-season preparation at Czech first division club FC Slovan Liberec together with the Uruguayan players Federico Tabeira and Hernán Petrick as part of a trial training period . He then returned to his Uruguayan club in mid-July 2014. In the 2014/15 season he was used six times (no goal) in the Primera División . Since the 2015/16 season he has been on loan at FC Slovan Liberec. That season he played in a cup game (no goal) for the Czech club. In mid-July 2016 he returned to Atenas and played a league game (no goal) in the second division season 2016.
