Sebastián Canobra , full name Sebastián Andrés Canobra Acosta , (born November 3, 1994 in Maldonado ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.84-meter tall midfielder Canobra moved in October 2011 on loan from Club Atlético Atenas to Club Atlético Peñarol . In early August 2012 he returned to the San Carlos club. There he made his debut under coach Edgardo Arias on March 15, 2015 in the 2-1 away win over the Montevideo Wanderers in the Primera División , when he came on in the 85th minute for Alejandro Rafael Acosta . In the 2014/15 season he played in a total of four first division games (no goal), but could not prevent the club from being relegated to the Segunda División. During the second division season 2015/16, he played ten league games without a personal goal.

National team

Canobra was part of the Uruguayan U-17 squad . He was a member of the squad at the U-17 South American Championship in Ecuador in 2011 , in which Uruguay finished 2nd. He was also part of the team that took part in the 2011 U-17 World Cup in Mexico and was runner-up. At the World Cup he played in five tournament games (no goal).
