Sebastián Simonet (born May 12, 1986 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine handball player who has been under contract with the Spanish club Ademar León since 2016 .

Career

The 1.90 m tall playmaker began his career at Sociedad Alemana de Gimnasia de Villa Ballester before moving to the Spanish league ASOBAL to CB Torrevieja in 2006 . In 2011 he signed a contract with the French first division club US Ivry HB . He has been playing for the Spanish first division club Ademar León since summer 2016 .

With the Argentine national team , he participated in the 2012 Olympic Games , the 2016 Olympic Games , the 2009 , 2011 and 2013 World Championships , and won the 2012 Pan American Championship and the 2011 Pan American Games . At the 2014 Pan American Championship , he won the gold medal. So far, he has played 180 international matches in which he scored 388 goals.

At the 2013 World Cup, he was on the field with his younger brothers Diego and Pablo .
