Sebastián Vázquez , full name Sebastián Rodrigo Vázquez Maidana , (born November 4, 1980 in San Ramón ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
society
The 1.84 meter tall midfielder Vázquez started his career in 2003 and 2004 in the ranks of Liverpool Montevideo . In 2004 he played 33 games in the Primera División and scored eight goals. From 2005 to the end of 2006 he was active for Nacional Montevideo and was used in 56 first division games during this period, in which he hit the opposing goal a total of 13 times. In the 2005 and 2005/06 seasons Nacional was Uruguayan champions. He then moved to Estudiantes de La Plata . With the Argentines he ran in eleven first division matches (no goal). In early August 2007, Vázquez joined the Ukrainian club Chornomorez Odessa . There he completed 35 league games and scored seven goals. In February 2009 he returned to Liverpool Montevideo on loan. In the Apertura 2009 he played twelve games in the Primera División with the Montevideans and scored two goals. Then he was again active for the team from Odessa and scored one goal in nine league appearances. From the end of January 2010 to the beginning of July 2010 he played for Beitar Jerusalem in eight games (no goal) of the Ligat ha'Al . This was followed by nine first division appearances (no goal) for the Uruguayan club Danubio FC in the 2010 Apertura . In January 2011, Vázquez was loaned to Hangzhou Nabel Greentown . For the Chinese, he completed 17 league games (one goal) and five games (no goal) in the AFC Champions League . In February 2012 he started his first engagement with Cerro Largo FC . In the Clausura 2012 he was used twelve times in the top Uruguayan league with the team from Melo and scored once. From mid-July 2014 to the end of January 2015, he continued his career at the Paraguayan club Club Sol de América . For the team from the capital Asunción he ran in seven league encounters (no goal). In the 2015 Clausura he was on the pitch twelve times (no goal) in the Segunda División as part of a second engagement with Cerro Largo FC in Eastern Uruguay . In July 2015, he contracted Rentistas for the second time in his career. In the 2015/16 season he was used in 27 top division games and scored one goal. He returned to Cerro Largo FC in July 2016. After nine second division appearances (one goal) in the 2016 season, four more league games (no goal) followed in the 2017 season (as of July 24, 2017).
National team
Vázquez made his debut on October 26, 2005 in the 3-1 defeat in the friendly against Mexico under coach Jorge Fossati in the Uruguayan senior team , when he came on in the 46th minute for Martín Ligüera . This personally goalless international match was not followed by any more.
