Sebastian Dey

Sebastian Dey (born February 27, 1979 in Oberhausen ) is a German musician . He became known through his participation in Unser Star für Baku , the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 .
Life
Sebastian Dey began his musical career in 2003 as the singer and guitarist of the Oberhausen band Die barely Incredibles . Jon Caffery , who produced Die Toten Hosen at the time , signed the band and produced the EPs "Miststück" (2004) and "Mond" (2006), each with three tracks that were self-distributed. But before the album produced by Cafferey was released in 2007, there was a separation between the band and label and finally the band also separated.
In 2007 Dey gathered his new band The Expedition Team around him. In 2010 the EP Expedition Team was released , on which he combined soul music with jazz and pop . In 2012 Dey took part in the casting show Our Star for Baku and took eighth place with mostly his own songs.
In 2015 Sebastian Dey recorded a solo album on which he was supported as a band by well-known musicians such as Philip Niessen , Michael Paucker , Carl Michael Grabinger and Lillo Scrimali . The album Love as Fuel was initially self-distributed and was finally released worldwide on February 26, 2016 on the independent label Quasilectric .
In 2018 Dey founded the band DEY HARD together with drummer Max Kupke . After the release of some singles and videos, the album "Analog" Dackelton Records has been announced for 2020.
