Quasilectric is a German independent label from Rheinberg .
history
Quasilectric was founded in October 2012 by the booker Bianca Eysenbrandt and the musicians Bobo and Kiki Schülling . Before the founding, the takeover of the label Scarecrow Sounds (LC 03507) was made. The company headquarters was initially located in Moers. In April 2013 the band Was Wenns rnet released the album Falsche Nasen, initially through the Hamburg distributor Aristopunks. After Aristopunks went out of business, new contracts were signed with New Music Distribution and Europe-wide sales continued. Since 2014, other artists have been published. So came u. a. Kent Coda , the Mondo MashUp sound system, And again October and El Postre to Quasilectric. At the end of 2014, New Music Distribution merged with Hamburger Membran Media GmbH and since then sales have been positioned worldwide. In January 2015, the company moved to Rheinberg for organizational reasons. In 2017, a new sales partner was found in H'art Musikvertrieb / Bertus.
In 2018, Bianca Eysenbrandt founded Dackelton Records as the new main label and has since managed it alone with both sub- labels . Most of the artists went to Dackelton Records .
On November 18, 2017, the Quasilectric Festival took place in Bollwerk 107 in Moers on the occasion of its five-year existence , at which the rockabilly band Rockameier, the musician Männi with band, Kent Coda, And again October and Was Wenns rnet performed. The label festival has taken place annually since then.
structure
Quasimedia acted as a generic term for three business areas. Quasilectric formed the origin of Quasimedia, from which the merchandise and band service Quasimerch and the advertising and graphics agency Quasilectrisches Medieninstitut emerged. While Quasilectric concentrated on the publication of the music and the occasional booking for the affiliated bands, at Quasimerch bands and festivals from all areas were supplied with merchandise, printed matter, CD pressings and much more. In addition to these things for business customers, the Quasilectrische Medieninstitut mainly covered web and graphic design. When Dackelton Records was founded, a new merchandise service called Dackeldings was created. Web and graphic design will continue to be operated separately by Kiki Schülling.
