Sebastian Göbig (born July 22, 1985 ) is a German soccer player .
Career
At VfR Goldbach in Lower Franconia , Göbig began playing football before moving to Viktoria in neighboring Aschaffenburg. SV Darmstadt 98 was his third station in his youth .
At the beginning of his senior career he went back to Viktoria Aschaffenburg, but after only half a year and only one league game he moved back to the other side of the Bavarian-Hessian border to the SV 1919 Bernbach club . There he had his breakthrough as a right wing striker in the 2005/06 season when he was top scorer with 25 goals and so helped Bernbach to rise to the league . Nevertheless, he left the Hesse and moved to the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, where he played for one season for SV Waldhof Mannheim .
In 2007 he received an offer from the third division club FSV Frankfurt . However, a difficult time began there. Injuries, but also problems in the personal environment, threw him back, so that there were only three short substitutions in the first team in the first year. The FSV rose to the 2nd Bundesliga and Göbig, who had lost the connection, was transferred to the second team.
Although he continued to play regularly for the reserve team, which rose to the Hessian league in 2009, a professional career seemed to be a long way off. The now 24-year-old began training as a sports and fitness clerk and worked in the FSV office when coach Hans-Jürgen Boysen discovered him again for the second division team. On October 24, 2009, he finally came to his first professional appearance and then played a few times in the second division. At the beginning of the second half of the season, however, an injury put him out of action for some time.
From August 2011 Sebastian Göbig played under coach and ex-professional Jürgen Baier at the Lower Franconian district upper division club SV Erlenbach . There he scored 24 goals last season and rose with his team to the Bavarian State League Northwest. Two years at VfR Goldbach followed from 2015 to 2017 before he returned to Erlenbach as a player-coach in the summer of 2017.
