The one race ... human! Africa-Caribbean Festival (also called "AKF" among the visitors) has been taking place annually on the second weekend in August on the fairground in Aschaffenburg since 1998 . Up to 60,000 people visit the festival on the Bavarian Lower Main every year.

General

The “one race… human!” Africa-Caribbean Festival has been taking place since 1998 (from 1998 to 2000 under the name Africa Culture Festival ) in the Aschaffenburg district of Leider on the left side of the Main on the former parade ground, now the Volksfestplatz.

The basic idea was and is to make a contribution to philanthropy, to convey values ​​and content and to convey the music and culture of the African continent and the Caribbean .

The motto "one race ... human!" Has been anchored in the name since the 4th Africa-Caribbean Festival in 2001. In 2001 the association One Race Human e. V., for which all agency employees work on a voluntary basis.

The “one race… human!” Africa-Caribbean Festival has served as a platform for various aid organizations and associations since the beginning. From the surplus of the festival donations go to various aid projects worldwide.

In 2015 the festival area on the Main was divided into two areas for the first time: the area of ​​the "ONE RACE HUMAN" concerts and the actual Africa-Caribbean area.

In 2018 the festival will be finally renamed for the first time. The Africa-Caribbean Festival is now officially called "ONE RACE ... HUMAN!" Festival.

ONE RACE HUMAN concerts

In the area of ​​the ONE RACE HUMAN Concerts, the concerts take place on the main stage on the festival days. Artists such as Habib Koité , Cro , Mark Forster , Gentleman , Joris (musician) , Beginner , Omi (singer) and many more have performed here.

Africa-Caribbean area

In addition to the concert area, there is also the Africa-Caribbean area, where performances by smaller artists, newcomers and world musicians take place on the so-called “Beach Stage”. Artists such as Ohrbooten , Kelvin Jones , Julian Marley , I-Fire , Georg auf Lieder , Sebastian Sturm and others have already performed here . This area also includes a world bazaar, an exotic food mile, a beach area, a children's area and a culture stage.
