Kelvin Jones (born February 10, 1995 in Chitungwiza , Zimbabwe ; actually Tinashe Mupani ) is a Zimbabwean-British singer-songwriter . He lives and works in Germany.

Life

Kelvin Jones grew up in Zimbabwe until he was nine and then moved to London . Kelvin Jones studied mechanical engineering in England. In addition, he began to be active as a singer-songwriter. In 2014, a friend of the then 21-year-old published the song Call You Home on the Reddit Internet portal . The song went viral and was viewed around a million times in a day. So the song got into the show Good Morning America and Kelvin Jones became known worldwide. After the success of the song, he gave up his studies and decided to become a professional musician.

He then signed a contract with Four Music after some record companies showed their interest. In Berlin he recorded the album Stop the Moment , which was released on September 11, 2015 and reached number 71 in the German and number 55 in the Swiss charts. Only Thing We Know was released in 2018 . In May 2020 he entered the Free European Song Contest for Great Britain with his song Friends .

Jones has lived in Germany since 2016.
