Georg auf Lieder (* 1988 in Hamburg ) is a German pop-rock musician.

Career

The musician, who does not make his real name public, was born to a Bolivian mother and a German father in Hamburg-Langenhorn and grew up with his mother. At the age of 17 he dropped out of school to play guitar in a punk band, which broke up after a short time. In 2011 he moved from Hamburg to Berlin , where he worked as a street musician on Alexanderplatz for two and a half years , playing exclusively his own compositions.

In 2012 a listener referred him to an artist manager. At the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg he was able to play a showcase in front of music producers and representatives of record companies. He was then signed by Universal Music . His debut album Alexanderplatz , produced by Christian Neander , was released in 2014 and placed 60th in the German sales charts. In 2016 his second album Mano Grande was released .

Georg auf Lieder appeared at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring and played in supporting act for Amy Macdonald , Imagine Dragons , Rea Garvey , MIA. , Milow and July .
