Bernd-Sebastian Sumelka (born April 20, 1989 in Vreden ) is a German football player .

Career

Defender Sumelka began his career at SpVgg Vreden in western Münsterland . As a teenager, he moved to the youth department of the first division club FC Twente Enschede and won the Dutch A youth championship, among other things. In 2008 Sumelka moved up to the second men's team. There he also took over the office of team captain . After two years in the Netherlands , Sumelka moved to the regional division 1. FC Magdeburg , for whom he appeared in 22 games.

After only a year he returned to the Netherlands and joined the second division club FC Oss . Sumelka played a total of 23 league games for Oss and was also used twice in the KNVB Cup . In the summer of 2012 he moved to the regional division SC Wiedenbrück 2000 , where he became a regular player in the defense. With Wiedenbrück he reached the final of the Westphalia Cup in 2013 , which was lost 3-1 to Arminia Bielefeld , but they were still qualified for the 2013/14 DFB Cup . Here the SCW defeated Fortuna Düsseldorf 1-0 in the first round , in the second round Sumelka scored the only goal in the 1: 3 defeat against Sandhausen .

In March 2015 he was suspended after a dispute with coach Alfons Beckstette. Sumelka then moved to the top division SC Roland Beckum for the 2015/16 season . After a year he left the club and went to Switzerland to AS Calcio Kreuzlingen.
