Sebastian Vogel (translator)
Sebastian Vogel (born May 31, 1955 in Berlin ) is a German translator for non-fiction and fiction .
Life
Sebastian Vogel studied biology in Heidelberg and Cologne . After receiving his doctorate in 1985 at the Institute for Genetics at the University of Cologne , he occasionally worked as a journalist and author . His main occupation, however, is literary translation from English into German . Among other things, he works for the Random House publishing group , National Geographic Germany, S. Fischer , Rowohlt , Ullstein , Berlin , Spektrum Akademischer Verlag and Spektrum der Wissenschaft .
Vogel is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works , VdÜ.
