Sebastiano Ceccarini

Sebastiano Ceccarini (born May 17, 1703 in Fano ; † August 26, 1783 there ) was an Italian portrait painter.

Born to Carlo Antonio Ceccarini and Maria Lavinia Fanelli, Sebastiano lost his father at the age of thirteen and was raised by his uncle, the pastor Don Giuseppe Fanelli. He became a student of the painter Francesco Mancini . At the end of 1724, Ceccarini followed his master to Rome, where he stayed until May 1729.

He worked again in Rome from February 1731 to March 1735, undertook study trips to Pesaro , Urbino , Perugia , Bologna , Venice , Florence . On October 14, 1738, he married the Roman Candida Marini. The couple had eleven children. The wife died in 1767.

His students and employees included a. his sons Nicola and Giuseppe and the son of his sister Elisabetta, Carlo Magini .
