Sebastiano Sing

Sebastiano Sing (* 1988 in Tegernsee ) is a German artist who lives and works in Vienna (Austria). His work includes performance , video art , visual arts and photography .

Life

Sebastiano Sing completed an apprenticeship at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich. In 2011 he was engaged as assistant director by Christian Stückl at the Munich Volkstheater .

From 2013 to 2018 Sebastiano Sing studied Performative Art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Carola Dertnig .

His works have been shown in exhibitions and festivals in Vienna, Lisbon and Munich. In 2015 Sing worked at the 56th Venice Biennale ; and in 2016 at the Steirischer Herbst in Graz; his work Benjamin was invited to London. 2017 saw his solo exhibition Heart Notes in Belgrade and a work in the Kunsthalle Exnergasse Vienna. At the 46th Biennale Teatro in Venice, Sebastiano Sing was a selected workshop participant of Gisèle Vienne. In February 2020, his performance Disco Desires premiered at MUSA Vienna .
