The Sebeschski rajon ( Russian Себежский район ) in the Pskov Oblast , Russia , is located in the far west of the country on the border with Latvia and Belarus . The administrative center is the city of Sebezh .

The area of the Raion borders in the north with the Rajons Krasnogorodski and Opochetski , in the east with the Rajons Pustoshkinsky and Nevelsky , in the west with Latvia and in the south with Belarus. The largest rivers are Idritsa , Tscherneja , Konopljastik , Dosma and Issa .
