The Seehornsee is a small mountain lake in the Berchtesgaden Alps . It lies at 1779  m above sea level. A. below the Seekopf on the normal route from the Kallbrunnalm to the Seehorn to the east . The Dießbach reservoir has been located 500 meters further south since the 1960s . The natural lake, previously called Diessbach Lake , was renamed Seehornsee after the Seehorn was built.

The small lake is located in the area of ​​the cadastral municipality of Oberweißbach in the east of the municipality of Weißbach bei Lofer in the state of Salzburg in Austria , as well as in the Fallck district of the Saalforste , in District 19 Dießbach. The alpine settlement of Kallbrunnalm is 1,600 meters to the west . The area belongs to the Kalkhochalpen nature reserve in the Berchtesgaden Alps.
