The Seehornsee is a small mountain lake in the Berchtesgaden Alps . It lies at 1779 m above sea level. A. below the Seekopf on the normal route from the Kallbrunnalm to the Seehorn to the east . The Dießbach reservoir has been located 500 meters further south since the 1960s . The natural lake, previously called Diessbach Lake , was renamed Seehornsee after the Seehorn was built.
The small lake is located in the area of the cadastral municipality of Oberweißbach in the east of the municipality of Weißbach bei Lofer in the state of Salzburg in Austria , as well as in the Fallck district of the Saalforste , in District 19 Dießbach. The alpine settlement of Kallbrunnalm is 1,600 meters to the west . The area belongs to the Kalkhochalpen nature reserve in the Berchtesgaden Alps.
