The sailing club Würmsee Starnberg e. V. (SCW) was founded in Starnberg in 1927 . At that time, Lake Starnberg was still called Würmsee. In total, the SCW has over 350 members.

The sailing club is located on the north shore of the lake and the Würm flows through it. Access to the club and the Rambeck shipyard there is only possible through a bascule bridge over which the footpath on the lakeshore leads.

activities

Regattas

Every year the association organizes several regattas, including races for the lake championship of Lake Starnberg with evaluation of yardstick and ranking regattas for several boat classes .

Through numerous other events in cooperation with neighboring clubs, the SCW has an active club life. This includes organizing the "Bavarian Youth Week" together with the Bavarian Yacht Club and the Munich Yacht Club.

The association organizes German and international championships at irregular intervals.

education

The association offers training for the sport boat driving license inland and for the sport coastal boat license and carries out training trips .

  • 1975: German champion of the 20 m² dinghy cruiser class: Goldbrunner with Ant. Herrmann and Chr. Pachmann (both MRSV)
  • 1976: German champion of the 20 m² dinghy cruiser class: Goldbrunner with Ant. Herrmann and Chr. Pachmann (both MRSV)
  • 1977: European champion kite class: Friedrich Klaus
  • 1977: German champion of the 20 m² dinghy cruiser class: Walter Plenk with Hans Steiner and Günther Heinrich
  • 1982: German champion of the 20 m² dinghy cruiser class: Wolfgang Goldbrunner with Ant. Herrmann and Chr. Pachmann (both MRSV)
