Tendon strain

A pulled tendon , also distension called, is a violation of the tendon tissue due to an un physiologically expiring strain, mostly in case of sudden overload of the tendon or jerky contraction of the corresponding muscle.

The tendon strain is very often combined with a muscle strain.

In contrast to the tendon tear, there is no interruption of the tendon contour, but swelling and edema formation that are visible in sonography and magnetic resonance imaging .
