Tsuda Seiichirō

Tsuda Seiichirō ( 津 田 晴 一郎 ; born July 26, 1906 in Matsue ; † September 20, 1991 ) was a Japanese long and medium-distance runner .

In 1928 he won a marathon in Osaka in 2:35:35 h and was second in the Japanese Championships in 2:48:52 h. He was then nominated for the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , where he was sixth in 2:36:20 h.

In 1929 and 1930 he was Japanese champion over 1500 m , 1930 and 1931 over 5000 m and 1931 over 10,000 m .

In the Olympic year of 1932 he returned to the 42.195 km distance. After finishing third in a marathon in Tokyo with his personal best of 2:33:26 h, he qualified third in the Japanese Championships in 2:38:04 h for the Olympic marathon in Los Angeles , in which he finished second : 35: 42 h Finished fifth.
