Seldwyla

Seldwyla is a development and a cooperative in the Swiss municipality of Zumikon . It is located in the south of the village on the edge of the forest above the Küsnacht village stream .

Seldwyla was founded in 1967 by six architects as an urban village. It is named after Gottfried Keller's collection of short stories " The People of Seldwyla ".

The urban planning concept was developed by Rolf Keller . The individual houses were individually designed by different architects.

The pillar portal of the meat hall on Zurich's Limmatquai , which was demolished in 1962 , also known as the “Veal Shank Mosque”, serves as the main entrance.
