Seligeria recurvata is a species of moss of the order Grimmiales .
features
The trunks are two millimeters high, forked and twisted with leaves. They stand in flocks or form lawns. The upper leaves have a lanceolate hollow base and are drawn out into a long, pointed awl. The lower leaves are oblong lanceolate. The cells of the tip of the leaf are short, rectangular or square.
The seta is straw yellow, at first drawn down, only later upright, the capsule has a peristome .
distribution
The species occurs in Europe and North America. In Germany it can be found scattered in the low mountain ranges and in the Alps . It grows on damp, shady, calcareous rocks and on limestone walls.
