Seligeria is a genus of moss of the order Grimmiales .
features
The representatives are tiny mosses, the stems of which are usually smaller than three, rarely up to eight millimeters. The leaves have an egg-shaped base and end in an elongated tip. The rib fills the tip or is protruding. The seta is up to three millimeters long. The capsules stand upright and are shaped like a wine glass.
Distribution and systematics
The genus comprising 21 species occurs in the northern hemisphere and in Australia . The mosses grow on shady, moist limestone rocks. Ten occur in Europe, the following also in Germany :
