Soltan Massoud Mirza ( listen ? / I titled as Zell os-Soltan (The Shadow of the King) PersianAudio file / audio sample [ zɛllos soltɑn ] ظل السلطان; * January 5, 1850 in Tabriz ; † July 2, 1918 in Isfahan ) was a Qajar prince, also known as Yamin od-Dole (The Right Hand of the State). He was the eldest son of Nāser ad-Din Shah and Effat od-Dole and the brother of Kamran Mirzas and Mozaffar ed-Din Mirzas , later Mozaffar ad-Din Shahs . Although he was the eldest son of Naser ad-Din Shah, he could not take the throne because his mother did not come from the Qajar family. Sell ​​os-Soltan was governor of Isfahan from 1872 to 1907 and governor of Shiraz from 1907 to 1908.

He mastered French and Arabic as foreign languages. He had a large library in which he collected manuscripts . He had 14 sons and 11 daughters. He wrote a book called Tarich-o-Sargosasht-e-Massoudi .

He died in Isfahan in 1918 and was buried in Mashhad .
