Kamran Mirza

Kamran Mirza Nayeb es-Saltaneh (born July 22, 1856 in Tehran , † April 15, 1929 ibid) was a Qajar prince and Prime Minister of Iran . Kamran Mirza was married to eleven women. He had four children with his first wife and 19 children with the remaining ten women.

Life

Kamran Mirza was the favorite son of Naser al-Din Shah and Monir es-Saltaneh. Since his mother did not come from the ruling family of the Qajars , Kamran Mirza was excluded from the line of succession.

Kamran Mirza received his school education from private tutors. Later he attended the military academy established by the Austro-Hungarian military mission in Persia . After completing his training, he held the rank of field marshal .

At the age of six he became governor of Tehran , with Pasha Khan Amin-al Molk running the official business. He held the post of governor of Tehran until 1873. From 1869 he also held the office of Minister of War until 1873. He was also Minister of War for a short time in 1884 and 1896.

During the Constitutional Revolution , too , Kamran Mirza was Minister of War from 1906 to 1908 and Prime Minister for a few days in 1909.

Kamran Mirza held his last public office as governor of Khorasan from 1916 to 1917.
