Sema Meray

Sema Meray (born February 26, 1960 in Mersin , Turkey ) is a German - Turkish actress and author .

Sema Meray, who is of Turkish descent, grew up in Germany. She became known to a wider audience when she took on the role of Helga Schrader in the WDR television series Die Anrheiner in 1998 . Meray played this role until 2003. She can occasionally be seen as Aunt Hatice in Lindenstrasse . Meray also worked as an actress in the theater, as a writer and voice actress.

In February 2008 her play Because of Honor / Namus Icin (director: Till Rickelt ) was performed in the Freie Werkstatt Theater in Cologne . Her daughter, actress Lilli Hollunder , also took part in this play .

Meray is committed to the preservation of the Mor Gabriel monastery in Turkey .

In the early summer of 2014, Sema Meray married her partner Hubertus Prince zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and lives with him at Strauweiler Castle in Odenthal in the Bergisch district .
