The transmitter Bad Urach (Hanner rock) is a gap-fillers for radio, mobile and bad radio . It is located above Bad Urach on the wooded Hanner Felsen directly on the Hanner Steige to St. Johann , about two kilometers south of Bad Urach city center. A spun concrete mast is used as the antenna carrier.
From here, the city of Bad Urach and the surrounding area are supplied with the radio programs Antenne 1 and Neckaralb Live .
Until the introduction of DVB-T , the television programs Das Erste (transmission power: 1 W), ZDF (transmission power: 20 W) and SWR Fernsehen (transmission power: 20 W) were broadcast terrestrially by this station.
The broadcast of television programs in digital mode DVB-T is planned.
In addition to the spun concrete mast, there used to be a steel lattice tower on the site. After the spun concrete mast took over its tasks, the steel lattice tower was dismantled.
