The transmitter Eberbach is a VHF radio transmitter of the Südwestrundfunk (formerly the Süddeutscher Rundfunk ) on a hill near Neckarwimmersbach . He uses a cantilevered steel lattice tower as an antenna carrier. The transmitter closes reception gaps of the transmitter Heidelberg in the Neckar valley around Eberbach. In the 1950s, the system was also used for medium wave broadcasting and, until the introduction of DVB-T, also as a television converter.
