Kirschfurt transmitter

The Kirschfurt transmitter (often also referred to as Freudenberg transmitter because it is primarily intended to supply Freudenberg ) is a transmitter system from Deutsche Funkturm GmbH for broadcasting radio signals. It is located on the Burgberg northwest of the village of Kirschfurt am Main . A 62 meter high transmission tower in the form of a free-standing tubular mast , which was erected in 1987, is used as the antenna carrier.

The station used to broadcast analog television for the town of Kirschfurt and the town of Bürgstadt on the other side of the Main . Today the transmitter is used by Südwestrundfunk to supply the city of Freudenberg in Baden-Württemberg .
