The transmitter Peč is a transmitter on the Slovenian side of the triangle , a 1509 meter high border mountain between Austria , Slovenia and Italy . The 50 meter high freestanding steel lattice tower was built in 1976 and is located in the immediate vicinity of another transmitter on the Italian side of the mountain.
This transmission system is not primarily used to supply Slovenia, but is solely intended to supply the Slovenian minority in Carinthia and the Canal Valley with radio programs in Slovenian.
Until the mid-1990s, only the first radio program and only the first TV program was broadcast.
