The transmitter Reichenau (Ermatingen) is a gap-fillers of the Swisscom Broadcast for radio. Although it is a transmitter from a Swiss service provider, it is located on the German island of Reichenau , about 1.5 kilometers southeast of the center of Mittelzell . It is therefore referred to internally by Swisscom as the Ermatingen transmitter . A free-standing tubular steel mast is used as the antenna carrier.
From here, the municipality of Ermatingen in Switzerland and the surrounding area is supplied with the radio programs SRF 1 , SRF 2 and SRF 3 from Schweizer Radio DRS . In addition, the frequency of 91.6 MHz with a transmission power of 0.05 kW is already coordinated for broadcasting.
