The Münchner Wochenanzeiger group is a merger of the three publishing houses “Werbe-Spiegel”, “Sendlinger Anzeiger” and “Münchner Nord-Rundschau” and publishes the advertising papers with the highest circulation in Munich . Since the Münchner Werbblattverlage merged in 1984, the Münchner Wochenanzeiger has developed into an advertising newspaper association with a weekly circulation of over 800,000 newspapers.

The total of ten issues of Werbe-Spiegel appear on Wednesdays in the west of Munich and have developed over the course of time from a pure advertising paper to a district newspaper with local and current reporting from the fields of politics , sport , culture and entertainment . In addition, it has been published since 2000 in cooperation with the publishers Münchner Wochenend Zeitung GmbH and MWB Medien GmbH and the “Münchner Saturday Gazette” with a circulation of over 600,000.

The "Westend Anzeiger" published by Werbe-Spiegel-Verlag is the oldest advertising newspaper published throughout Germany and has been on the market since 1924.

Werbe-Spiegel-Verlag was founded in 1950 by the Ullrich family. Publisher and owner Dieter Ullrich died in a plane crash in 1991. The Dangl family then took over management. Gudrun Dangl is the managing director to this day.

Sendlinger Anzeiger

The Sendlinger Anzeiger was founded 60 years ago in 1948 by Georg Fürst with a bounty of DM 40.00. It is still in the third generation of the family today.

The 20,000 copies at that time grew to a weekly circulation of 119,000 with a distribution area from the Lindau Autobahn (A96), via Hadern , Neuried , Forstenried , Solln , Unter-, Mittel- and Oberendling along the Isar to the Glockenbach- , Dreimühlenviertel .
