Seppo Pyykkö (born December 24, 1955 in Oulu ) is a former Finnish football player and coach .

He played for the Finnish club Oulun Palloseura and became Finnish champions in 1979 and 1980. In the 1980/81 season, Pyykkö moved to the first Bundesliga for Bayer Uerdingen , where he came on three substitutes, but no goals. 1981 Uerdingen was relegated and Pyykkö went back to Finland after a season in the second division. He played again for Oulun Palloseura and from 1985 for the TUL club Oulun Työvänen Palloilijat . Between 1976 and 1981 he made 30 international matches for Finland, in which he scored a goal against Hungary in the autumn of 1978.

In 1979 Pyykkö was Footballer of the Year in Finland .

In 2009 he became the sixth member of the AC Oulu Hall of Fame .
