Prince Sergei Petrovich Trubetskoy ( Russian Сергей Петрович Трубецкой , scientific. Transliteration Sergei Petrovich Trubetskoy ; August * 29 . Jul / 9. September  1790 greg. In Nizhny Novgorod , † November 22 jul. / 4. December  1860 greg. In Moscow ) was a Russian nobleman and officer.

Trubetskoi came from the princely house Trubetskoi . In his youth he took part in the campaigns of 1812-1814 as an officer . As a leader of the Decembrists -Aufstandes 1825 in St. Petersburg he was sent to Siberia exiled and received his freedom back after 30 years. Sergei Trubetskoi was a Freemason .

His notes ( Записки ) were published by Alexander Herzen in London in 1863 .
