Sergei Sinitsyn
Sergei Sinitsyn ( Russian Сергей Синицын , also transcribed Sergey Sinitsyn ; born June 4, 1983 in Sverdlovsk ) is one of the most successful speed climbers in the world. The Russian, who started climbing in 1991 at the age of eight, first competed in international competitions in 2001 and won his first World Cup in his hometown in 2002 , and in the same year he also became vice European champion. From 2004 to 2009 he was consistently in first or second place in the overall World Cup ranking. Sinizyn also starts in the Difficulty discipline .
