Sergio Luzzatto

Sergio Luzzatto (born September 2, 1963 in Genoa ) is an Italian historian .

Luzzatto studied at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in Pisa and received his doctorate from the Scuola Superiore di Studi Storici (Higher School for Historical Studies) of the University of San Marino . He had lectureships at the University of Genoa and the University of Macerata . Today he is Professor of Early Modern History at the University of Turin .

In addition to the early modern period , Luzzatto dealt with the French Revolution and recent Italian history. From 2002 to 2004 he directed the documentary series Altra Storia (Different Story), which was broadcast on La7 . Luzzatto lives in Ferney-Voltaire with his wife and three children .
