Serhij Volodymyrowytsch Paramonow ( Ukrainian Сергій Володимирович Парамонов ; born September 16, 1945 in Belorezk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Soviet sword fencer .

successes

Serhiy Paramonov was world champion with the team in Havana in 1969 . He secured silver medals in 1970 in Ankara in the individual and in 1971 in Vienna in the team competition. In 1973 , the team also won the bronze medal in Gothenburg . At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich he reached the semi-finals with the Soviet team, in which they had to admit defeat to Hungary 5-8. The battle for third place against France was won 9: 4, so that Paramonov received the bronze medal together with Hryhorij Kriss , Wiktor Modsolewski , Igor Valetov and Georgi Zažitski . In the individual competition he was eliminated in the semi-finals as sixth in his group.

Paramonov fought for the fencing club VS Kiev.
