Seth Marvin Morehead (born August 15, 1934 in Houston , Texas , † January 17, 2006 in Shreveport , Louisiana ) was an American baseball player in Major League Baseball . His nickname was Moe .
biography
Morehead went to school at Byrd High School. He signed his first professional contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and played in the MLB for the first time on April 2, 1957 . In the league, he played three years for the Phillies, two for the Chicago Cubs and one season with the Milwaukee Braves . During his career, he was the last pitcher to face Roy Campanella . He was also the last to throw at the Brooklyn Dodgers before the team moved to Los Angeles . In total, Morehead threw in 132 first division games.
He died of a heart attack.
