According to the official press release, the up-and-coming band Ghost played around singer Papa Nihil in their first concert in the summer of 1969 at Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood . The concert was to celebrate the first release of the band Seven Inches of Satanic Panic with the songs Kiss the Go-Goat and Mary on a Cross on Galaxy Records . Track list

  1. Kiss the Go-Goat - 3:13
  2. Mary on a Cross - 4:04

Madeline Ward of the online magazine PULP wrote that the two songs in the single may not have the lyrical elegance of earlier songs like Monstrance Clock , but they would be very memorable. The publication shows that Ghost wouldn't be boring. Despite the ridiculous lyrics and questionable authenticity, the new single is a fun affair. The German magazine Visions led Kiss the Go-Goat on the list of the 25 best music videos of the year of 2019.
