Seven Kingdoms is an American thrash and power metal band from Deland , Florida that was formed in 2007.

history

The band was formed in 2007 by guitarist Camden Cruz and singer Bryan Edwards. Guitarist Kevin Byrd, drummer Keith Byrd, bassist Cory Stene and keyboardist John Zambrotto joined them a short time later. The band went to the Morrisound studio in August and recorded their debut album, Brothers of the Night . The publications followed various appearances in the USA with bands such as Sonata Arctica , The Agonist , Stephen Pearcey , Circle II Circle and The Absence . In 2008 the band wrote new songs. In addition, Zambrotto left the band, so that the group was from now on without a keyboard player. Shortly afterwards, singer Edwards and bassist Stene left the band. Bassist Miles Neff and singer Sabrina Valentine replaced the cast.

In September 2009, the band went to the Morrisound Studio to record their second album with the band name as the title. The album was released in the summer of 2010 on Nightmare Records . Towards the end of 2010, the band went on a month-long tour of North America with Blind Guardian , with Aaron Sluss now with Seven Kingdoms as the new bass player in the band. After the tour, work began on their third album. On October 9th, 2012 the new album The Fire is Mine was released .

In March and April 2013 they went on a European tour with Stratovarius and Amaranthe .

style

The band plays a mixture of Thrash and Power Metal, with the songs being comparable to early works by Blind Guardian . The lyrics to Brothers of the Night are based on the fantasy saga A Song of Ice and Fire by author George RR Martin . The name of the band was derived from this work.
