Severino Menardi (born November 1, 1910 in Cortina d'Ampezzo ; † unknown) was an Italian winter sports enthusiast who was active in the Nordic and Alpine skiing disciplines.

Career

Menardi, who competed for the GS Fiamme Gialle , achieved his first successes at the Italian Championships in Alpine Skiing. So he won the title in the downhill as well as in the slalom and in the combination.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid in 1932 , he also started in the Nordic disciplines on an international level for the first time. After rank 27 in individual ski jumping , he reached rank 27 in cross-country skiing - individual over 18 km. In individual Nordic combined, he reached 21st place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Innsbruck in 1933 , he reached fifth place with Frederico De Zulian , Andrea Veurich and Sisto Scilligo with the 4 × 10 km relay.

At the Italian Championships in 1933 he won his first title in Nordic combined and cross-country skiing . In 1934 he won gold again in the Alpine Combined. He also achieved second place in the slalom and downhill, winning silver. He also won his second title in a row in Nordic Combined. In 1935 he won gold again in the downhill. In the cross-country skiing individual over 18 km, he achieved the bronze rank.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1936 Menardi started again in the Nordic disciplines. In the cross-country singles over 18 km he ended up in 16th place. In the Nordic Combined singles he did not get past 20th place. With the cross-country skiing relay, which also included Giulio Gerardi , Vincenzo Demetz and Giovanni Kasebacher , he narrowly missed a medal and ended up in fourth place.

After Menardi won gold again a little later at the Italian Championships in Nordic Combined, he won his last title in this discipline in 1938. In 1938 he also achieved his first and only title in cross-country skiing.
