Seydou Elimane Diarra (born November 23, 1933 in Katiola , † July 19, 2020 in Abidjan ) was an Ivorian politician and two-time Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast .

Diarra was first Prime Minister from May to October 2000 under Robert Guéï . He was appointed Prime Minister of the Transitional Government in February 2003 under an agreement to end the civil war (2002-2003), as he was viewed as a neutral person. Many supporters of President Laurent Gbagbo , however, accused him of not acting vigorously against the rebels after they had refused to agree to disarmament and demanded his release in October 2004.

On December 5, 2005, negotiators from the African Union announced that Diarra would be replaced by Charles Konan Banny from December 7th .
