Shō Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 翔 , Tanaka Shō ; born January 15, 1985 in Sapporo , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tohoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2009 .

Career

Shō Tanaka began his career as a hockey player in the team of the Hōsei University . He then signed a contract with Tohoku Free Blades , which began playing in the Asia League Ice Hockey in the 2009/10 season . In this, the attacker scored two goals in 33 games in his rookie year in professional ice hockey and provided one template. He also received eight penalty minutes. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake , he and his team won the championship title of the Asia League Ice Hockey for the first time.

International

For Japan Tanaka took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in Division I in 2003 and the U20 Junior World Championship in Division II in 2005 . In this he scored three goals and one assist in five games.
