Shūsaku Nishikawa ( Japanese 西川 周 作 , Nishikawa Shūsaku ; born June 18, 1986 in Usa ) is a Japanese football player who has been with Urawa Red Diamonds since 2014 .

Career

Nishikawa played in his youth for the Japanese club Ōita Trinita and began his professional career in 2005 with the then first division club. After Ōita Trinita was relegated to the second division, the goalkeeper moved to Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Nishikawa played for the first division team until January 2014 and won the J. League Division 1 with his club in 2012 and 2013 . He was also voted into the team of the season twice. In January 2014, Nishikawa moved to Urawa Red Diamonds .

National team

Nishikawa has been part of the Japanese national team since 2009 and was appointed to the Japanese squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
