Shandong Heavy Industry is a Chinese state-owned manufacturer of commercial vehicles and construction equipment founded in 1946. The Shandong Heavy Industry Group includes the companies Weichai Power , Weichai Heavy Machinery , Yaxing Motor Coach and Shantui Construction Machinery , the largest bulldozer manufacturer in the world, and the Italian yacht manufacturer Ferretti .
history
The company was founded in 1946 as Weichai Holding Group Co and renamed Shandong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd on June 18, 2009 .
At the beginning of 2012, the Italian yacht manufacturer Ferretti was taken over.
On January 1, 2013, Weichai took over 70% of the shares in Linde Hydraulics from Linde Material Handling . The Kion Group , in which Weichai holds a 38.3% stake , continues to hold 30% of the shares in the hydraulic subsidiary .
As of 2018, Weichai holds 90% of Linde Hydraulics and 10% of the KION Group, with Weichai holding 45% of the KION Group.
In October 2019, Shandong Heavy Industry took over a 45% stake as the majority shareholder of the Sinotruk Group .
